Under a lease entered into in accordance with Portuguese law, the due rent may be reviewed annually, in accordance with an official review coefficient set by the National Statistics Institute (in Portuguese, “INE”) for the various types of leases. This coefficient is published in the Official Gazette (“Diário da República”) up until the 30th of October of the previous year.
In the beginning of the year will come into force new rules regarding the supervision of the auditors which arising from the influence of the European rules on the national legislation on this subject.
Decree No 15-A / 2015 was published last September 2th, 2015, and already entered into force, which regulates the new investment types within the investment activity residence permits, also knowed as "Golden Visa" or "ARI". Such regulation establishes law requirements and procedural formalities that applicants must meet when applying to such residence permit.
