Angolan president announces remodeling of team of ministers and state secretaries

On 6 April, Angolan President João Lourenço announced that a major overhaul of the structure of the Angolan Government was carried out.

In this sense, an extensive list was published with the names of Ministers and Secretaries of State exonerated and appointed, proceeding to the suppression of 7 Ministries and some of them being integrated into others.

Despite the criticisms suffered, the reform has as an innovative factor the prominence given to youth in the new Angolan political scenario, including in the list of new ministers, names such as Adjany Costa, a 30-year-old biologist; responsible for the “super-ministry” of Culture, Tourism and Environment.

It can be read on the Government of Angola website that the changes were made for "convenience of service and the need to conform the composition to the new organic"
