New Legislation in Angola

In the first week of July, Angola’s Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Diamantino Azevedo, claimed that Angola has recently prepared new legislation.

This new legislation aims to achieve the goal of attracting a greater amount of private investment. The Angolan government has recently implemented improved legal conditions in order to create greater security for the national and foreign investors that they are working to attract. Regarding this new legislation, Azevedo explained, “Angolan law is good and the tax system for the mining sector is competitive. What we are doing is to further improve what already exists in the sector”.
